Addicted to Porn and Chasing Your Tail

Everybody knows that chasing your tail is an old saying that basically means “you are going nowhere fast.” Nobody wants to do that in life, but a large percentage of the people on the internet can’t help themselves from this fatal attraction.

We have been designed to express and enjoy love of one another. Obviously without boundaries, it can be devastating. Having an affair is obviously bad in a relationship, what about simple images and movies from people you don’t know or have contact with? Is there really any difference between on-line gambling or being inside a casino in Vegas pulling a level down with your hand? It’s time for brutal honesty.

Having been there myself for years, I can tell you first hand it sneaks into our life innocently. “After all, I love my wife and I’m not hurting anybody” is an excuse I and practically all men use. My intimate life was nothing like it is today now that I am free from the bondage of adult websites. If I can be frank here to the men, let me ask you about the emptiness you feel after you have dedicated time to viewing the websites. Sure you feel the initial “rush” about what your eyes are feasting on.

But afterwards, you have that hollow feeling. I was able to “mute” those feelings because they did me no good, but they were most certainly there. That’s your heart talking. It’s trying to say the one you really love will give you everything you need if you are willing to work for it. As men, we are willing to die for our wives. So why are we not willing to obey God’s word about this? Why would be take a bullet in the chest for the one we love, but can’t mouse click with our index finger away from an image that is someone’s loving daughter?
